BiographyWilliam M. Stephenson wed Elizabeth J. Bams November 26, 1848 in DeKalb County, Georgia as seen in an image of the original marriage register.[1] W M Stevenson was enumerated at Post Office Decatur, Panthersville District, DeKalb County, Georgia for the July 18, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1823 in Georgia. He was a sawer? (or farmer) and had $1200 in value of real estate and $300 in value of personal estate as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male John Stevenson and female Sarah Stevenson.[2] William Stephenson was enumerated at Joneboro Post Office, Clayton County, Georgia for the July 14, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1821-1822 in Georgia and working at sawmill. He had $1500 in value of real estate and $600 in value of personal assets as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Malissa Stephenson, female Sarah Stephenson and female Martha Stephenson.[3] W M Stevenson was enumerated as self at District 1189, Clayton County, Georgia for the June 15, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as a farmer, born 1822 in Georgia and married as seen in this image of the original census.
